Individual, Couples & Family Therapy
DESCRIPTION OF THERAPY PRACTICE
I’ve been in private practice for over 40 years working with adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents. Over the course of the past 25 years, I've developed a special interest in couples therapy and in helping men and women resolve relationship problems. I also have a strong interest in the integration of Buddhist wisdom and Western psychology. My primary teacher in the Buddhist tradition is Tara Brach. I'm also deeply influenced by the teachings of Pema Chodron. The western psychological approach which most influences my work is called "narrative.” The narrative approach encourages people to define themselves according to their deepest values and intentions, not by their problems and challenges.
